Service terms
Terms & conditions
Last updated: October 6, 2026
Business identity and contact details below are examples. Replace them and review this document against the final service, data practices and applicable requirements before public launch.
This document is provided by Example Verification LLC (“we”, “us” or “our”), the operator of this service.
1. Using the service
These Terms apply to your use of our employment and education verification website, workspace and API. By using the service, you agree to these Terms. You must be at least 18 and authorized to act for the organization using the account.
2. Accounts and permitted use
Keep account credentials and API keys confidential and provide accurate account information. You are responsible for activity under your account. Do not misuse the service, impersonate another person, upload unlawful material, attempt unauthorized access or interfere with other users.
3. Authority to request verification
Only submit information you are authorized to provide and verify. Obtain required permissions and notices before submitting a person’s information. Use results lawfully and fairly. Employment screening may involve consumer-reporting, consent, disclosure, dispute and adverse-action requirements; these Terms do not replace those requirements or establish that any particular use is compliant.
4. Research, AI and results
The service uses automated research, AI-assisted processing and communications with organizations. Information can be incomplete, inaccurate or unavailable, and third parties may not respond. Results describe the available evidence rather than guarantee a person’s history or suitability. Review supporting evidence and resolve material discrepancies before making a decision; the service does not make hiring or eligibility decisions for you.
5. Pricing, payments and credits
Applicable prices are shown when you submit a request. Payments and saved payment methods are handled through Stripe. Account credits are measured in US dollars, and applicable verification fees are deducted according to the price and charging rules shown for the request. Unable-to-verify outcomes are not charged a verification fee. Contact us about payment errors or refund requests; statutory rights are unaffected.
6. Submitted content and privacy
You retain your rights in submitted materials. You authorize us to process them and share relevant information with service providers and verification contacts as needed to provide the service. Our Privacy Policy describes this processing. Do not submit sensitive information that is unnecessary for the requested verification.
7. Availability and account closure
We may maintain, change or temporarily suspend the service, and may restrict accounts for misuse, security concerns or legal requirements. Contact us to request account closure. Closing an account does not automatically erase records needed for payment reconciliation, evidence preservation or legal obligations.
8. Service limitations and responsibility
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided as available without a guarantee of uninterrupted operation, a particular response time or a successful verification. Neither party excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. These Terms do not limit statutory consumer rights or responsibility for fraud or willful misconduct.
9. Changes and contact
We may update these Terms and publish the revised version and date here, providing additional notice where required. Contact the business listed below with questions or concerns.
